Join us at Scuola Fermi for a special event with Federica Lentini (Deputy Head of School of La Scuola International School of San Francisco and Director of Circ) exploring one of the central ideas of the Reggio Emilia approach: the image of the child.
This workshop will explore the foundational principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, traditionally developed for the preschool years, rooted in a vision of the child as a capable, curious, and creative learner. We will examine how this image of the child, and the core pedagogical ideas that stem from it, speak to educators at all levels, particularly in the context of today's classrooms and learners.
The morning will begin with a talk by Federica, followed by a workshop and experience with Scuola Fermi teachers about how this idea takes shape in everyday school life. The event will include ample space to offer participants the opportunity to reflect, ask questions, and continue the conversation together.
This event is open to educators, families, and anyone interested in the Reggio Emilia approach and in thinking more deeply about how we see children, learning, and the role of the adult in education.
