Fernanda is an Administrative Assistant and Enrollment Coordinator at Scuola Italiana Enrico Fermi, as well as currently assisting in Curiosity Lab for AfterCare. She began her time at the school as an intern through The University of Illinois at Chicago at the start of the 2026 school year. She has a background in Applied Psychology, and experience in child Behavioral Analysis. During the 2026 school year, she also contributed to the organization of the Italian Immersion Summer Camp at Scuola Fermi.

Fernanda is originally from Chicago, but has a heritage background from Mexico, enabling her to be a fluent bilingual speaker for both English and Spanish. With her roots in Chicago she is knowledgeable about the city, surrounding areas, and cultural aspects of multicultural communities throughout Chicago. 

With her educational background in psychology, she applies practices learned to allow students in Curiosity Lab to make their own choices and guide their creative learning with Reggio-Emilio foundations.
