Musica con Tommaso

Musica con Tommaso is a lively and immersive music class for young children, rooted in the Gordon Music Learning Theory. Based on the understanding that music is a language best acquired through rich, playful exposure, the program invites children to engage with sound before symbols—through listening, movement, call-and-response, and tonal exploration.

Tommaso Moretti brings warmth, creativity, and deep expertise to each session. With voice, gesture, and rhythm as his tools, he creates an environment where music becomes a shared experience. Children are encouraged to move freely, echo melodic patterns, and experiment with their voices in a space that feels open, curious, and emotionally safe. The Gordon approach emphasizes audiation (i.e., the internalization of music) over rote learning. There are no pressure-filled performances, no early focus on notation. Instead, the emphasis is on building an intuitive, embodied relationship with rhythm, pitch, and musical flow.

Classes will be offered on select dates (to be announced) and are open to all school children, who will join in organized, smaller groups.
