Classe Finestre
Monday-Friday 8:00 pm - 3:00 pm
4s and 5s (Italian required)
Classe Finestre is our classroom for 4- and 5-year-olds, where artistic exploration, emotional growth, and material discovery are woven into the fabric of each day. It is a space where children are invited to look both inward and outward and are to express themselves with depth and to engage the world with wonder.
In Classe Finestre, art is a language. Through clay, paint, paper, fabric, twine, and natural materials, children explore big ideas, test boundaries, and communicate what words alone cannot hold. The classroom functions as an atelier, filled with evolving projects, collaborative installations, and quiet invitations to observe, reflect, and create.
Emotional development is central to the experience. Chiara C., Chiara A., with the dynamic support of Natalja, our movement and emotional balance atelierista, guide children in naming feelings, practicing empathy, and learning how to self-regulate through sensory tools, breathing, storytelling, and group dialogue. These moments are foundational in a well-rounded approach to learning.
The environment is intentionally designed to invite curiosity and care. Natural light, raw materials, and elements from the outdoor world offer a steady rhythm that mirrors the seasons and the children's own growth. The connection between nature, art, and emotion forms the core of the curriculum.
In Classe Finestre, children are seen as capable, creative, and emotionally rich individuals. The classroom becomes a window (a finestra) to the outside world, just as much as to the interior world of the child.
